Sleep Events Detection & Monitoring
Advanced Events Detection
With its up-to-date algorithm, VentMed APAP Machine DS6 can identify and analyze different types of respiratory events, letting the device accurately and automatically adjusts the air pressure to provide immediate relief and ensure that you receive optimal therapy.
Meanwhile, all the therapy insights in 2 years are saved in a SD card. The data can be reviewed on the device’s screen, a windows computer, which can be shared with your physician. So you can always get the information needed for compliance.
Monitored Respiratory Events
OAI (Obstructive Apnea Index)
AHI (Apnea–Hypopnea Index)
PB (Periodic Breathing)
FL (Flow Limitation)
CAI (Central Apnea Index)
HI (Hypopnea Index)
SNI (Snore Index)
RERA (Respiratory Effort Related Arousal)
Two Therapy Modes (APAP vs CPAP)
CPAP (Manual Mode) works byemitting a continuous stream of fixed pressurized air into a patient’s mask at all times, which mechanically splints open the airway, to eliminate obstructive apneas during sleep.
APAP (Auto Mode) is designed with a low pressure setting and a high pressure setting. It uses sensors and built-in software to make automatic changes in this range of air pressure in response to your breathing.
VentMed APAP DS6 can be set in eitherCPAP(manual mode) or APAP(auto mode).APAP may be especially convenient if you live far away from a sleep clinic or otherwise have difficulty going in for a sleep study to determine CPAP settings. For those who prefer a fixed pressure setting, a simple switch allows seamless transition to CPAP mode.

Choose the Right Mask
Nasal CPAP Mask(covers nose)
How to Measure:
Use a ruler or tape measure to measure the widest part of your nose from the outside of one nostril to the outside of the other. Compare your measurement to the sizing chart.
Who May Need a Nasal Mask?
A physician may recommend nasal masks to users who:
- Move around in their sleep a lot.
- Experience claustrophobia when wearing larger masks.
- Breathe through their nose.
- Have a lot of facial hair.
- Prefer a more natural airflow.
Full Face Mask(covers mouth & nose)
How to Measure:
Measure from the height of the bridge of your nose (which his usually just below your eye line) down to the indent in your chin (just below your bottom lip).
Who May Need a Full Face Mask:
A physician may recommend Full Face masks to users who:
- Breathe through their mouth primarily.
- Need a high-pressure CPAP setting.(Full face masks work well for higher CPAP pressure settings since the wider mask surface area makes the pressure seem less direct and more tolerable to the patient.)
- Have allergies or other medical issues that make it difficult for them to breathe through their nose.
- Sleep on their back.
Compatible with Various Masks
The VentMed CPAP machine is comaptible with various masks in the market, giving users the flexibility to choose the best fit for their individual needs.
